Meghan Markle looks unrecognisable as a teenager at a regal event in unearthed snap

Meghan Markle may no longer be a working member of the royal family but the former Suits star had been getting her regal practice in since childhood.

An unearthed snap of the Duchess of Sussex has shown the actress at a Christmas high school formal event looking rather royal.

The mum-of-two was pictured wearing a navy-blue velvet dress in a throwback posted by a fan on Twitter.

She sat on her friend’s lap alongside three other pals as they posed in front of an enormous Christmas tree at a fancy event.

Meghan, 41, wore a peach corsage on her wrist which complimented her midnight dress as she smiled at the camera.

She looked to be around 15 or 16 years old in the photo as she attended the Immaculate Heart High School festive dance at Millennium Biltmore Hotel.

The snaps were taken more than two decades before she became a member of the royal family but show she was a natural in front of the camera even as a teenager.

The friends featured in the snap are believed to be Meghan’s close tenth grade friends Anise Hutchinson, Emanuella Jaskiewicz, Michelle Ramani and Lily Galli.

Meghan attended the private Roman Catholic institution, Immaculate Heart High School, in the Los Feliz area of LA before going on to Northwestern University in Illinois.

The throwback comes after the possible return of Meghan’s personal blog was branded "the heart of contradiction" by a critic today.

Before she entered the Royal Family, the Duchess of Sussex ran the popular lifestyle blog, The Tig, posting her favourite recipes, fun photos and her inner-most thoughts.

Meghan's passion project, named after favourite wine Tignanello, transformed into a large community of like-minded people who read her thoughts on feminism, travel, the arts, design and wellness.

In some of her most memorable posts, Meghan opened up about her younger years before she shot to international fame - and in another she made a confession about struggling to give up "unladylike habits".

In a twist of a fate, Meghan also blogged about the Prince and Princess of Wales' wedding, writing about "the pomp" surrounding William and Kate's big day - seven years before her own royal wedding.

However, it all came to an upsetting end in 2017 just before Meghan committed her life to Harry.

Recent filings indicate The Tig could be set to return to the internet very soon, but some feel the mum-of-two indulging in the world of wellness goes against her work in the charity sector.

Meghan has received official preliminary approval to revive the website, after she closed it in 2017 upon getting engaged to Prince Harry.

It’s thought to rival Gwyneth Paltrow’s £200million Goop, and details filed with the US Trademark and Patent Office outline that Meghan could also take on an agony aunt role on the site.

The papers have stated that Meghan’s site would give “commentary in the field of personal relationships”.

It has been reported that the website could go live as soon as next week - something fans of the Duchess of Sussex are ecstatic about.
