Meghan Markle and Prince Harry in 'trouble' after Netflix show cancelled, expert claims

A royal expert said there is "a bit of trouble" between Meghan Markle and Prince Harry after her Netflix show was cancelled.

The Duchess of Sussex was pictured supporting her husband at a polo event in California, after her animated series Pearl was axed.

As a result, specialists have claimed "all is not well" with the pair.

News that Prince Harry's memoir has also been delayed is believed to have increased tensions royal expert Richard Eden claims.

Speaking on the Palace Confidential podcast, he suggested the couple were "overextending themselves" with the ever-increasing commitments they have signed up for to keep their celebrity status.

Richard said: “I do sense there’s a bit of trouble there really.

“All these pictures have started appearing of Meghan turning up at the polo, handing over trophies and this sort of thing.”

“I remember writing about the polo back in Britain years ago that Meghan wasn’t very keen for Harry to play in polo matches unless it could be guaranteed that it would raise £1million for charity each time.

“She felt that it was kind of beneath him to be playing in matches that would just make a few thousand pounds when he should be going for the big ticket matches.

“But we’ve got Meghan turning up at all these events, handing over trophies, the same way she turned up at the Invictus Games and to me, that’s an indication that all’s not well."

Richard claims the appearance isn't the norm for the pair - adding they've only attended significant events together in the past.

The couple have been attending a number of events before they jet back to the UK to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee weekend.

There has been concern and growing speculation about when Prince Harry will release his memoir, with not date yet announced.

The expert added: “There’s a lot that seems to be in flux, and it wouldn’t surprise me if that’s the case with the book as well."

Speaking on the same podcast, royal commentator Robert Hardman agreed with his counterpart.

He said: "I think it’s worth remembering that everything to do with Prince Harry he likes to keep it close to his chest, he likes to keep us guessing.

“I think for the moment there’s probably a PR strategy being drawn up. I don’t think it means the book’s not happening, I just think we’re going to have to wait.”

Robert did, however, accept that the couple were now in the business of needing to frequently come up with new ideas for content.

He added: “If you’re living the Californian dream, you’ve got to keep coming up with new stuff, you’ve got to be of the moment.

"Royalty is very different, so yes they are having to live their lives at a different pace."
