Duke’s Mayo has become a household name in the last year. At least, in households that watch college football.
As the sponsor of the bowl with the best social media game — which is also known for orchestrating the first recorded mayonnaise bath in college football history — people expect a lot from the marketing folks over at Duke’s.
They did not disappoint.
During Saturday’s Week 0 festivities, Duke’s Mayo revealed its new mascot, Tubby. Presumably, Tubby will be on the field during the bowl game in December, and if this is a just universe, will also be the perpetrator behind this year’s mayo bath.
As an added bonus, there’s only a slight chance Tubby will haunt my dreams.
Y’all suggested. Y’all voted. Now our mascot officially has a name.
World, meet Tubby. pic.twitter.com/TBaRk4ozKn

Who doesn’t love an anthropomorphized jar of mayonnaise? With strikingly defined eyebrows?
Between this and Bijan Mustardson, it’s been a massive couple of weeks for condiments.
