According to a report by IGN, the game actually took less than a week to reach two million copies sold.
The report cites the game's SteamDB page, which notes that the game reached a concurrent player peak of a little over than 20,000 users on its first day. It tallied its all-time peak thus far on June 21 with 340,534 players.

What Exactly Is 'Meccha Chameleon?'
If this is your first time hearing of "Meccha Chameleon," what you have to do in this game is to essentially play hide and seeker. If you're the seeker, your task is to find everyone hiding before the time is up.
Now, if you're the one who has to hide, this is where things get creative. As a character, you pretty much have a white body, and you have to paint yourself to match the stage if you want to hide and blend in.
In short, you have to mimic where you're hiding. The better your painting skills, the better odds you have of escaping the seekers.
As this is a multiplayer game, you have the option to play with friends, but you likewise have the option of playing on your own.
