Meat Loaf was pictured for the last time performing on stage almost a year before his death.
The iconic Bat Out Of Hell singer died aged 74 surrounded by his wife Deborah and his children Pearl and Amanda.
Deborah released a statement on his official Facebook page telling fans of the devastating news.
The last pictures of the musician - real name Michael Lee Aday - were taken back in March 2021 when he was performing at Redneck Riviera Nashville with country singer John Rich.
Meat Loaf's performance was part of the launch of John's whiskey brand Redneck Riviera.
One photo had the I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That) singer holding a bottle of whiskey as he posed with John.
John had his arm around Meat Loaf's shoulder as they both beamed for the camera.
It was recently reported that Meat Loaf died after falling 'seriously ill' with Covid-19.
Sources had told TMZ that the singer passed away on Thursday night after contracting the viral disease.
Before it was claimed that he contracted coronavirus, his wife released a statement on Facebook.
"Our hearts are broken to announce that the incomparable Meat Loaf passed away tonight with his wife Deborah by his side.
"Daughters Pearl and Amanda and close friends have been with him throughout the last 24 hours.
"His amazing career spanned 6 decades that saw him sell over 100 Million albums worldwide and star in over 65 movies, including “ Fight Club ”, “Focus”, “Rocky Horror Picture Show” and “Wayne’s World.” "Bat Out of Hell” remains one of the top 10 selling albums of all time.

"We know how much he meant to so many of you and we truly appreciate all of the love and support as we move through this time of grief in losing such an inspiring artist and beautiful man.

The musician was best known for his legendary Bat Out Of Hell trilogy. It is among the 35 best-selling albums in US history and even racked up 14 million units sold, as reported by RIAA.
Meat Loaf starred in 65 films during his expansive career and was famously known for his role in the 1975 film version of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
