Rory McIlroy has said a players' lounge full of professionals immediately questioned Bryson DeChambeau's grass trampling at Royal Birkdale on Friday, after the American received a two-shot penalty during the second round of The Open Championship.
McIlroy said the incident was clear enough to draw instant concern from those watching, before DeChambeau's extended dispute with officials delayed the release of Saturday's tee times.
