McFly’s Tom Fletcher was in the emergency room over the Easter weekend after "being rushed to hospital in agony", according to reports. The star shared the news along with a picture from a hospital's A&E department.
Taking to social media the singer and BBC Strictly Come Dancing star updated fans on his health and the hospital dash. He revealed: “Home. Another 6 weeks of steroid eye drops here we go.”
The following day, Tom added: “I’ve literally been asleep all day. Just woken up. Third time I’ve had Uveitis and each time it’s wiped me out like this.”

According to Birmingham Live, which reported on Tom's hospital visit, last year the star was diagnosed with debilitating condition Uveitis. He told his fans on Instagram: "Sorry I’ve been quiet for a bit. I was wiped out with some sort of illness and in bed for a few days.
"I just got back on my feet yesterday and uveitis decided to kick me down again," he added with an eye emoji. The singer and author went on to thank the NHS staff who helped him out at A&E, explaining: "Very grateful to have a dedicated eye A&E hospital in London! It’s the 2nd time I’ve stumbled into that place holding my eyes and they’ve been amazing.
The Strictly contestant - who is married to ITV I'm A Celebrity star Giovanna Fletcher - then shared some of his treatment programme with his Instagram followers. Tom, one quarter of chart-topping boyband McFly, shared: "For now, it’s dark rooms, sunglasses and 6 weeks of steroids.
"Merry Christmas! Also, shout out to my amazing optician, Dipesh at @parkerandhammond who was giving me advice at nearly midnight last night. Hero!" According to the NHS, uveitis as inflammation of the middle layer of the eye, called the uvea or uveal tract.
It can cause eye pain, redness and vision changes, including blurry or cloudy sight. Tom's fans rushed to console him and send their well-wishes after his health announcement on social media before the turn of the year.
