McDonald's is adding two Christmas items to its menu - and we can't wait to try them

McDonald's is adding two Christmas drinks to its menu this week - and it’s already got us feeling all festive.

The fast food chain is introducing the new Caramel Waffle Latte and is bringing back the Hot Chocolate Deluxe from November 3.

The Caramel Waffle Latte - priced at £2.09 - is described as “a smooth latte, blended with a caramel waffle flavour syrup” topped with caramel cream and caramel sugar dusting.

Meanwhile, the Hot Chocolate Deluxe - which costs £1.49 - is said to be a “silky treat made with rich, chocolate syrup” topped with a swirl of cream and chocolate dusting.

The drinks are being launched alongside newly designed Christmas cups, featuring festive symbols like crackers, candy canes, holly and reindeer in red and green.

We’ve asked McDonald’s how long both drinks will be around for and we’ll update this article when we know more.

Maccies hasn't yet revealed what other festive items will join its Christmas menu, which usually launches in December.

It last revamped its menu two weeks ago on October 19, where it introduced Potato Waffles, the BBQ Bacon Stack Burger and the Twirl McFlurry.

Nacho Cheese Wages joined the menu a week later on October 26.

McDonald's has also just introduced a new McCrispy burger but as a permanent addition, replacing the Chicken Legend.

When one of our writers tried the new McCrispy, she said it was "definitely worth the wait" - even dubbing it her new favourite burger at Maccies.

In more fast food news, McDonald's has just axed its popular coffee stamp scheme in favour of a new rewards system.

Under the old scheme, customers would get a digital stamp when buying a hot beverage under the McCafe Loyalty scheme.

You would need to buy five drinks before getting a freebie.

However, with the new My McDonald's Rewards you'll need to earn 1,500 points to qualify for a free hot drink.

There will be an introductory double-points offer on hot drinks until December 31.

For more Christmas food, we looked at what Starbucks is offering this year - and it includes the new Toffee Nut Cream Cold Brew and Praline Cookie Hot Chocolate.

A number of Starbucks signature holiday favourites are making a comeback too, including the Caramel Waffle Latte, Toffee Nut Latte, Gingerbread Latte and Eggnog Latte.

The new Starbucks menu is available from November 3.
