Mbappe, Messi and the growing PSG fan fury as Antonio Conte bombshell addressed

A report that Antonio Conte has pitched himself to Paris Saint-Germain has been rubbished by sources close to the Tottenham boss.

It comes with incumbent boss Mauricio Pochettino expected to leave the French capital following a failed attempt at securing Champions League glory.

The Italian is hell-bent on securing success for Spurs but next season but still wants six new players if he is to fulfil his grand plan in North London.

But the Daily Telegraph state Conte will not be satisfied with having Spurs in the mix for top four again, targeting silverware instead.

It comes after a bombshell report the former Chelsea boss had flashed admiring glances towards decision makers in Paris.

It's been a weekend of high drama in Paris with a growing sense of belief that Real Madrid target Kylian Mbappe can be convinced to stay at PSG.

His mum and brother spent the weekend in Doha where talks over extending the looming free agent's contract were reportedly discussed.

Madrid remain confident they will get their man but PSG are cash rich and will explore every avenue to sign the 22-year-old on the richest contract in football history.

And what about Lionel Messi 's long-term future?

The world superstar has endured a tough season but the shower of boos he was subjected to on Sunday led to an angry response from Pochettino.

The club's ultras are getting increasingly vocal and their banners were seen hanging upside-down at the Parc des Princes as a form of protest.

The manager said: "The whistles against Messi? It's unbelievable. These are hard things to accept. A difficult situation to imagine and which cannot be understood in my opinion.

"All the more so with the greatness of Messi, what he gives and will continue to give to football."

Messi still has two years remaining on his current deal in Paris and is expected to remain at the club next season.
