Liverpool defender Andy Robertson has issued a brilliant response to Benfica fans after they threw flagpoles and lighters towards him at the end of their Champions League meeting.
Jurgen Klopp's side have the advantage as they take a 3-1 lead into the second leg, which is set to take place at Anfield next Wednesday. Ibrahima Konate, Sadio Mane and Luis Diaz were on the scoresheet, Darwin Nunez was able to offer the hosts a glimmer of hope early in the second-half.
After Diaz sealed the win for Liverpool with their third goal late on, amid the celebrations, a Benfica fan in the stands appeared to throw a flag pole in his Colombian's direction. Similar scenes occurred minutes before full time as Robertson lined up to take a corner for Liverpool.

When asked about fans throwing objects, the left back told BT Sport post-match: " They weren’t best pleased were they! I had quite a few lighters thrown at me, so maybe it’ll help them stop smoking and take the positives!
"But, we’ve seen it a lot, people getting hit and things like that, it was quite close to me but none hit me. I know when it’s late in the game and you get frustrated but, you know you shouldn't throw stuff onto the pitch and try to hurt people.
"Try to move on, I was just trying to take the corner and get out of there as quick as possible, luckily it was right at the end of the game."
Liverpool face a difficult test against Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday as the title arguably hinges on the result. They'll then welcome Benfica to Anfield a few days later in a bid to book themselves a spot in the semi-finals of the Champions League against either Bayern Munich or Villarreal.
