The Dallas Mavericks made a significant move on Tuesday, acquiring Caleb Martin from the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for Quentin Grimes and a 2025 second-round pick. This trade was finalized just hours before the Mavericks and the 76ers were scheduled to face off at the Wells Fargo Center.
Martin, who has been sidelined since January due to groin and hip injuries, was a valuable addition to the Sixers, averaging 9.1 points and 4.4 rebounds in 31 games. On the other hand, Grimes, who joined the Mavericks in an offseason trade with Detroit, averaged 10.2 points in 47 games for Dallas.
