Mauricio Pochettino's career is once again at a crossroads with the Argentine having missed out on the Manchester United manager's job to Erik ten Hag.
The Red Devils are understood to have reached a verbal agreement for Ten Hag to take over at the end of the season. Pochettino had been competing with the Dutchman for the position at Old Trafford, but Paris Saint-Germain's collapse to Real Madrid in the Champions League dealt a fatal blow to his candidacy.
His time at the Parc des Princes has not been a happy one, with Pochettino struggling to keep his squad's huge personalities on side. Here, Mirror Football looks at where the former Tottenham boss could go having lost out on the job many expected him to get.
Stay at PSG
It has not been a happy stay in the French capital for Pochettino since his arrival a the start of January 2021. Though he won the Coupe de France last season, the Argentine has faced plenty of criticism for his management of the team.
After a summer transfer window that saw the arrival of Lionel Messi, Gianluigi Donnarumma and Sergio Ramos, many expected them to mount a serious challenge for the Champions League. That did not happen though, with the French giants once again suffering a humiliating collapse and crashing out to Real Madrid in the last 16.
While Pochettino is under pressure, he still has one more year left on his contract. here appear to be few other elite options to take over from the Argentine, which could lead to the French side settling for another year of his management.

Replace Ancelotti at Real Madrid
His stock may have taken a hit following this season's Champions League campaign, but Pochettino still remains one of the highest-regarded coaches in Europe. Real Madrid have previously attempted to appoint him twice before and could return for a third time.
Carlo Ancelotti has led them to the top of the La Liga table and into the semi-finals of the Champions League. But speculation remains that the Italian will depart at the end of the season.
If that does happen, Los Blancos president Florentino Perez would be expected to reignite his interest in Pochettino. Such a move could even come in an attempt to tempt Kylian Mbappe, who has starred under the Argentine at PSG, to complete his long awaited transfer to the Bernabeu.
Go into international management
The international stage has been a place for some bosses to recover their standing. Luis Enrique, Roberto Mancini and Roberto Martinez are just three managers who have made that decision and been successful.
Pochettino would not have the full control he would get at club level, with players only rarely linking up with their country. But it is still an attractive proposition and a chance to challenge for the biggest trophies if he selects the right nation.
While it is unlikely an international team will make a change before the World Cup, Pochettino could signal his intention to move into that arena. That could do his candidacy good ahead of the winter tournament, after which several countries will likely be looking for a new manager.
Leave PSG and wait
Arguably Manchester United is the only big club with a vacancy heading into this summer, with virtually all the managers at the others secure in their roles. That puts Pochettino in a challenging position with few options if he did want to leave France.
If he did come to an agreement with PSG chiefs to depart his role at the Parc des Princes, Pochettino would likely have to become a free agent, at least for the first few months of next season. He would then be in pole position to take over at the next top club that opts for a change of manager.
Pochettino has of course undergone a similar break from the sport before, when he spent more than a year out of the game after his sacking by Tottenham. Whether he would be happy to endure a similar break again his unknown, but it is likely his only option if he did want to leave PSG this summer.
