Matty Healy has been pictured getting close with a mystery brunette, as conflicting reports emerge regarding his romance with Taylor Swift.
The 1975 frontman, 34, and Taylor were linked earlier this year and pictured together a handful of times but reportedly ended their romance after just one month.
Matty and Taylor's rumoured romance came after the Shake It Off singer's split from British actor Joe Alwyn after six years together.
Since their 'split', Matty Healy has now been pictured with artist Sarah Teare as the couple embraced on a London street.
Matty, pictured in an orange jumper, appeared tired as he carried two coffees to meet his pal with the pair then seen hugging.
The snaps of Matty and his potential love interest come as reports emerged this week that he might still be dating Taylor.
However reports that Matty and Taylor are still romantically linked may not be true, as sources close to the pair have denied this is the case. A source close to the Shake It Off singer told MailOnline : "They are absolutely not together and aren't even in contact anymore."
And a source close to Matty echoed the sentiment to the Mirror when asked this week.
Rumours that they might still be dating, despite their relationship supposedly ending after just one month, continued to grow with a source speaking to The Sun : "There is just something electric between them and they seem to have overcome it all quite quickly and decided they definitely want to make it work at all costs.
“They’re arranging time together in between tour dates and talking all the time."
The source continued to say Matty, who is the son of Loose Women star Denise Welch, is "utterly smitten" and claimed it appeared as though the feeling was mutual.
The source continued: "One thing that was pretty telling was when a girl who had worked with the band for a while — she took care of their image, some styling, hair and make-up, that sort of thing — suddenly left."
The source hinted that there might have been an issue with how close the member was to the Brit rocker.
Prior to reports about their rumoured break-up, it was claimed that Matty saw the relationship as serious and that he wanted to 'settle down and have children' with Taylor.
A source had told Closer magazine : "Matty's telling the world this is the real deal - they're building a long-term future, and marriage and kids are his goal, assuming it all works out."
The source however said at the time that Taylor's friends were under the impression that it was a "rebound" relationship that has the "potential for something more".
It was further claimed by the source that Matty was trying to "play things coy" in public but that he wasn't "holding back" while talking about it with his loved ones.
The source added: "He's letting it be known just how smitten he is and that it's the most serious he's been about a romance for an extremely long time, if ever."
Prior to being linked to Miss Swift, Matty has enjoyed relationships with other high-profile women, including fellow singer FKA Twigs.
Rumours the two stars were dating began to circulate way back in 2020, with the former couple making it Instagram official just weeks before the world went into lockdown.
But sadly it wasn't meant to be and the pair called it quits last summer thanks to the age old classic 'work commitments'. Many fans of The 1975 believe the band's hit song I’m In Love With You was inspired by frontman's Matty's relationship with FKA Twigs, whose real name is Tahliah Barnett.
Matty also reportedly enjoyed a brief romance with Without Me singer Halsey, with rumours the pair were dating starting after the American singer was spotted attending on one The 1975's concerts.
Later the same year Halsey collaborated with Matty's band on their track Ghost and further fueled the speculation, but things quickly turned sour and it was reported the pair had fallen out.
Halsey even said in a 2016 they was "not friends" with the It's Not Living singer and went on to slam his band in 2018, when they accused The 1975 of "fake activism" in a since-deleted tweet.
