Linebacker Matthew Judon has had an eventful week with his ongoing contract issues with the New England Patriots.
The pass-rusher recently was seen having an animated exchange with Patriots coach Jerod Mayo earlier this week and subsequently leaving practice. He was not at practice on Tuesday, as concerns surrounding his contract situation continued to rise.
When appearing on the “Shut Up Marc Podcast,” he delivered an interesting quote when asked about Patriots fans.
“I [expletive] with ya’ll, but ya’ll been just so spoiled from consistently winning, that ya’ll don’t dislike the other team, ya’ll dislike our team,” said Judon. “It’s like ya’ll happy to see the other team because ya’ll like they players too. But ya’ll just used to beating them other players.
“…When you see players and teams come in, they don’t be booing for their intros. Like, they just be quiet. They just let them intro, and then they’ll cheer for us. But then when stuff go awry, it be like, ‘This guy sucks, this guy stinks, take this guy out. Bill, you’re going to get fired. We can’t wait to see you go. I’m like, ‘Bro, ya’ll don’t even do that for the other team.'”
This is certainly an interesting quote coming from Judon given his current contract issues with the team. One has to wonder if his time in New England might really be coming to an end.
