Busted's Matt Willis has revealed that he will shares details of his battle with addiction in new BBC documentary, Matt Willis: Addiction and Me. The 39-year-old singer, who is married to presenter Emma Willis, announced the new film in a statement on Instagram.
"Hello everyone my names Matt and I am an Addict," he said as he opened the post. Matt then went on to say that he had "said that so many times in the last 18 years it has sometimes become [his] default". The singer's battle with drink and drugs has previously been well publicised with him checking into rehab on various occasions. He referred to the problem as a "sneaky b*****d" that he has been dealing with.
Matt continued: "I still struggle, a lot at times. I know I’m not alone, and I’m determined to look at how myself and others can learn to live with this." It was then that he revealed that he is currently working on the new documentary and said: "It's incredible to be given such a huge platform as BBC One to talk about ways to help get addicts and families of addicts the help they so desperately need."
