Matt Di Angelo is expecting baby twins with his wife Sophia as they reveal unusual names

Matt Di Angelo has revealed he's expecting not one - but two babies with his wife Sophia Perry.

The happy couple shared their gender reveal on Instagram with fans - as they found out they're expecting a boy and a girl.

"'The lottery of life’, still a fair way to go but we feel VERY blessed," the dad-to-be excitedly told fans.

He joked: "The boys name will be JACK, and the girls will be POT."

Matt famously played rapist Dean Wicks in EastEnders and con-artist Sean in the super-cool drama Hustle.

He married his wife Sophia in 2021 and now the 34-year-old actor is clearly excited to start a family.

His EastEnders pals rushed to wish the expectant parents well.

"Beautiful," Emma Barton wrote.

"Congratulations," Adam Woodyatt added.

And Ridley Road actor Danny Hatchard wrote: "Huge congratulations brother."

Matt is known for playing the role of Dean Wicks, also known as Deano, on Eastenders.

He featured on the show from 2006 - 2008 and subsequently from 2014 - 2016, taking a short break in 2015.

He was also known for his stint on the 2007 series of Strictly Come Dancing, where he fell for is professional dancing partner Flavia Cacace - however the couple called it quits shortly afterwards in 2008.

Matt tied the knot to fellow actress Sophia, who is known for her role on Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps, in London in 2021.

The actor posted a black-and-white video to his Instagram page, where he showed off his wife's gorgeous hair and makeup and his own dashing attire.

He appeared to be overjoyed and could only muster the word 'married', as Sophia grinned and danced with joy.

The star then posted a photo from the Dorchester, where the newlyweds celebrated their reception.

In the photo, the happy couple were seen letting their hair down, with the soaps actor captioning the snap "Well….that escalated quickly."

The two had been dating for five years prior to their idyllic 2019 engagement, where Matt popped the question while the couple were on holiday in the Caribbean.

The pair enjoyed pizzas on a white, sandy beach, before Matt presented his partner with a gorgeous diamond ring.
