Matildas coach Joe Montemurro has revealed Mackenzie Arnold is battling a calf niggle, but he's backing their star goalkeeper to still play a crucial role at the Women's Asian Cup.

Australia's goalkeeping stocks were battered even before the tournament began, and the Matildas are still counting the cost.
