Kieran Trippier admits England have an abundance of attacking talent in their ranks after Callum Wilson helped himself to an assist after coming on during the 6-2 win over Iran. The Newcastle duo both played their part in the Three Lions' opener, as Gareth Southgate's men got off to a perfect start in Qatar.
Trippier started from the outset as England raced into a 3-0 lead at the interval, with Jude Bellingham, Bukayo Saka and Raheem Sterling finding the net early on. Iran managed to score twice in the second-half but Saka, Marcus Rashford and Jack Grealish also notched to give Southgate's side a comfortable victory.
The England boss made changes in the second period, bringing Wilson off the substitutes bench for his first World Cup appearance. The Newcastle forward wasted no time getting involved in the action, unselfishly teeing up Grealish for his goal in the closing stages.

Speaking about the impact of England's subs, Trippier told the BBC: "You can see the attacking players we've got, and the players that came off the bench, they made a massive impact.
"We've got such quality in our team and it's just about expressing ourselves, especially the forward players. We can enjoy this game but we can still learn from certain moments. We'll focus on the next game against the USA."
Bellingham and Saka, 19 and 21 respectively, put England's impressive youth talent in the spotlight with their first-half goals. Trippier admits he was pleased for the duo, while admitting he is still loving life in the England camp - even as one of the veterans in the squad.
"I'm delighted for them. It was their first game, their first goal," he added. They've worked extremely hard over the 18 months and we've got such experience at such a young age.
"This tournament is about them expressing themselves. Go and enjoy it, that's the most important thing. "I'm 32-years-old and I'm enjoying every single game! Whether I'm playing or not, I'll always be ready."
