It looked like being the same old story for Chelsea in the first half of their game week 9 Premier League fixture against Wolves on Saturday afternoon.
It started with Conor Gallagher, and then the likes of Christian Pulisic and Cesar Azpilicueta followed suit- all did this by missing chances in the first 45 minutes as a wasteful Chelsea side nearly repeated the same mistakes of the Thomas Tuchel era.
The wins against Crystal Palace and AC Milan were more of the new Chelsea with the lethal nature shown by Graham Potter's side to take their chances when they were presented to the Blues.
However, key stars Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Reece James and others rested for this Saturday's affair. Despite holding a dangerous threat, Potter's dynamic outfit couldn't make it pay off until the dying embers of the first half, and it was an unlikely combo that combined.

Mason Mount's floated cross from the right found the head of Kai Havertz, who looped a headed effort over José Sá and into the back of the net.
It is a combo that hasn't been seen too often in recent times. Both Mount and Havertz struggled during the latter days of Tuchel's reign, but Potter's influence could resuscitate the attacking qualities both have in their lockers.
Surprisingly, this was the first time these two had combined in this order for a goal since that famous night in Porto back in May 2021. Mount's dissecting ball through the middle was latched upon by Chelsea's number 29, and the rest was history.
It was a moment that was pointed out on social media by many fans who were reminiscing on that famous night in the Portuguese city. Thankfully, the goalscoring didn't stop after the break as Mount once again was the man of the moment as his accurate pass was put away by the re-energised Christian Pulisic, who added to his assist last week against Palace.
