Although the 2022 Marvel series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law only ran for one season and divided critics and audiences, Marvel TV head Brad Winderbaum said it still stands as one of the MCU's most successful shows, and he'd love to make more seasons.
"I love She-Hulk. I'd love to make more She-Hulk," said Winderbaum on The Escape Pod on YouTube, after hosts Andrew Parker and Alex Azor expressed their love for the show. "I mean, I'll tell you this about She-Hulk. That's one of our best-performing shows. It just hit the general audience."
Starring Tatiana Maslany, She-Hulk follows a single, 30-something attorney who just so happens to be a green 6-foot-7-inch superpowered Hulk. The show debuted on Disney Plus to mixed reviews, which is reflected in its 80% Rotten Tomatoes score and 32% audience score. Back in 2022, we called She-Hulk's season 1 premiere "a charming – if slightly unbalanced – new addition to the MCU."
The show amassed 1.5 million US viewers in its first four days on the streamer, according to Nielsen, which is pretty average for a Marvel show. However, according to Winderbaum, it sounds like the show was successful in bringing in a different and more "general" audience.
However, She-Hulk was never renewed for a second season, and although Winderbaum would "love to make more She-Hulk," it doesn't sound like that's going to happen any time soon. The Marvel TV head added, "I would love the opportunity to make more She-Hulk, honestly. Hopefully one day. Maybe"
Marvel TV seems to have taken a whole new direction, focusing on grittier and wittier shows like Daredevil: Born Again and Wonder Man. Daredevil: Born Again season 2 is currently airing on Disney Plus, which has so far seen the franchise kick the violence up a notch as Wilson Fisk rules over Hell's Kitchen with an iron fist.
