In the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe film, 'Deadpool & Wolverine,' Ryan Reynolds' Wade Wilson/Deadpool takes on the role of Marvel Jesus as he embarks on a mission to save the 'sacred timeline.' This comedic reference in the movie hints at Reynolds potentially being the messiah of the MCU, ushering in a new era for superhero films.

Following the 2019 Disney-Fox merger, 'Deadpool & Wolverine' marks the first Deadpool movie released as part of the MCU. Despite the risk of an R-rated film, Reynolds' Deadpool franchise has consistently been a box office success, with the latest installment performing exceptionally well.
