Marvel has dropped the trailer for the highly-anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3, and fans have been left very worried. The Guardians are back for the third and final film instalment of the much-loved trilogy, as Peter Quill and his band of space heroes return to save the galaxy once again.
The two-minute teaser shows a host of familiar faces, including Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan and Pom Klementieff. Vin Diesel is back as animated tree-man Groot, alongside Bradley Cooper’s wise-cracking raccoon, Rocket.
Making an appearance for the first time is British actor Will Poulter, who joins the cast as the gold-skinned, super-powered, Adam Warlock, whose introduction was teased back in the second Guardians film.
“We were gone for quite a while, but no matter what happens next the galaxy still needs its guardians,” Pratt says. “We have been running our whole lives.”
“Pete, I’m done running,” Rocket replies.
CGI action abounds, with the Guardians seen in multi-coloured space suits jumping through an alien world and going up against a formidable new villain. Fans flocked to social media to share their views on the trailer, with many voicing their concern that the film may spell the tragic end for one character, as several Guardians are seen in obvious despair.
