Martin Lewis shares tip to get free £175 in less than a month

Martin Lewis has reissued a tip that could see many people get their hands on £175 extra cash for free.

The Money Saving Expert founder regularly shares hacks and tricks to help people to save or get their hands on money they are entitled to. His guidance has never been more needed amid the worsening cost of living crisis.

High street banks often offer cash incentives to tempt new customers to join them, and one UK banking giant is currently offering a huge £175 bonus for newcomers.

Not only is First Direct offering the cash to newbies who switch to its 1st Account, but anyone who does so will also get a huge 7% interest on regular savings.

Customers will need to open the account within three months, and you must be switching from a non-First Direct account. It can be an HSBC account, but only if it was opened before January 2019.

You'll also need to pay in £1,000+. The £175 is then paid within 28 days, and you can make the switch via the First Direct app. To begin the switch, or to read the MSE article in full, click here
