Martin Lewis issues warning to everyone as Ofgem energy price cap falls by £1,000

Martin Lewis has issued a warning to households today after energy regulator Ofgem announced its new price cap for April.

The financial guru took to Twitter after Ofgem said its price cap was to drop to £3,280 a year from the current £4,279.

But household energy bills are not currently dictated by the price cap. Martin said this means today's announcement "doesn't change what we pay mainly".
