Martin Lewis has urged any Tesco shoppers with a Clubcard to act now in order to get better value for money on their vouchers before a major change comes into force.
The supermarket announced earlier this year that it is reducing the value of Clubcard vouchers when shoppers spend them with Tesco's Reward Partners, such as theme parks, cinemas and restaurants. While Clubcard customers can currently triple the value of their vouchers when they redeem them with a Rewards Partner, from Wednesday, June 14, the value will be slashed to double - meaning, for example, that a £5 voucher that was worth £15 with a Reward Partner on Tuesday will be worth just £10 by Wednesday.
The changes sparked anger among disappointed shoppers when Tesco confirmed the changes in March - but MoneySavingExpert founder Martin has reminded customers that they still have time to act before the value of their vouchers is reduced. The retailer has extended the validity for any vouchers redeemed with a Reward Partner until Tuesday, June 13 from the usual six months to 12, meaning shoppers have plenty of time to use them at their current value if they spend them before Wednesday.

Taking to Twitter on Friday, Martin said: "This Tues, June 13 is the LAST DAY you get TRIPLE value rewards for trading in Clubcard points (e.g. £5 = £15 on Pizza Express, Disney+, Legoland etc.). From Wednesday it's cut to DOUBLE. So trade asap, especially as the Rewards are then valid for a year."
The money expert urged his followers to share the news with Tesco shoppers so they can take action before the change comes into force. Any vouchers spent on a Rewards Partner before Wednesday will still be worth triple their value, and customers have a whole year to use them.
Tesco has over 100 Reward Partners to choose from when it comes to spending your Clubcard vouchers, including tickets to the likes of Thorpe Park, Legoland and Chessington World of Adventures to enjoy family days out for less. There are also plenty of eating out options to redeem your vouchers on, such as Hungry Horse pubs, Pizza Express, Bella Italia, Prezzo and Zizzi.
Other Reward Partner highlights include a three-month subscription to Disney+ or an English Heritage membership, as well as a range of travel and holiday options like National Express, Railcards, P&O Cruises, Virgin Atlantic Flying Club and Butlins. Shoppers can get their vouchers via the Tesco Grocery & Clubcard app or through their Clubcard account.
Simply sign in to the app or your account, tap the button to turn your Clubcard points into vouchers, select 'request vouchers', and they will appear in your account within seconds to spend with a Rewards Partner. You will need at least 150 points in order to request a voucher.
