Martin Lewis has urged people to stock up on stamps before April 2.
With inflation hitting record highs, the prices of everyday essentials have risen in-line. But the Money Saving Expert has identified one cost increase that can be avoided by bulk buying at the standard rate.
He warned that from Monday, April 3, the cost of first-class stamps will be hiked from 95p up to £1.10 - making them 15p more expensive. Meanwhile second-class stamps will increase from 68p up to 75p - meaning a 7p increase.
