Married at First Sight Australia stars Evelyn Ellis and Duncan James have finally put the rumours to bed, and delighted fans with the confirmation they are now dating following months of speculation the pair had sparked up a romance.
The couple, who starred in the recently concluded tenth series of the Channel 4 reality show, wasn't actually matched together in the experiment but, after failing to find love with their partners, it seems they may have found it with each other.
The model and cyber security worker Duncan were recently pictured kissing and cuddling on a date night in Sydney, and have now finally gone public with their romance following a new interview with Nine.
Evelyn Ellis, 27, entered the experiment slightly later in a comical meeting at the altar with her partner Rupert, who fumbled and was so lost for words over his wife's beauty that he lost the wedding ring multiple times before he even put it on her finger.
But we reported previously how the pair didn't work out in the end, despite striking up an unlikely connection after viewers didn't expect them to last a week, let alone make it to final vows.
Duncan's relationship on the other hand saw him tirelessly work at his marriage to single mum Alyssa, but her constant need for reassurance and trust issues eventually chipped away at their otherwise strong relationship and in the end he walked away.
The couple spilt the tea on their newfound relationship as part of an 'Honesty Box' challenge which asked straight up if they were in a relationship.
"Yes I am!" Duncan said without any hesitation, before adding: "Well yes, we are."
"We are in a relationship. This is [our] hard launch," Evelyn told the Aussie site. "It feels good to finally just say it and it feels kind of exhilarating in a weird, freeing way."
Duncan said the pair had been hanging out a lot together as friends before they developed romantic feelings for each other and "one thing led to another".
He said: "Yeah, it's a weight off the shoulders. We started hanging out a little bit after the show.
"Everyone's sort of friends in the cast, and obviously me and you living in Sydney we probably hung out a little bit more.
"All of a sudden we went out on a couple of nights, and some of the warm fuzzy feelings happened in my stomach and I thought, 'What's this? How we going here? Then... one thing led to another."
One person said: "Evelyn and Duncan confirming they're in a relationship may just be the best news of 2023 so far,"
Whilst another fan penned: "Alyssa fumbled the bag with Duncan, him and Evelyn are the hottest couple I’ve ever seen #MAFSAU."
A third added: "Omg Evelyn and Duncan are together and that actually makes so much sense, love that they look SO good together #MAFSAU."
Yahoo Lifestyle first reported the pair were 'seeing each other' last month after they were spotted going on several romantic dates.
And although they didn't find love traditionally how the show planned, it seems they could be a very popular pairing with viewers according to fan reactions of the news.
The couple was also questioned on how their co-star bride and grooms felt about them being together, which might come as a bit of a surprise.
"We have been welcomed as a couple in the most positive way," Evelyn responded.
"Obviously [we] gave Rupert a call as well, and got the blessing from Rupert! He was very supportive as well," Duncan added.
Now the news is out, the couple are looking forward to more dates without having to be so discreet.
"That's the part I'm really looking forward to once we've come out and said that we're in a relationship," Duncan told Nine.
