Marquez “riding at the same level before his injury”, says Honda MotoGP boss

Marquez was sidelined for three rounds after fracturing his right hand in a crash at the season-opening Portuguese Grand Prix, which resulted in him being handed a double long-lap penalty before it was eventually annulled following a legal battle.

The eight-time world champion qualified second at Le Mans, finished fourth in the sprint and was on course to finish second in the grand prix before crashing out.
