H-1B visa holder from India arrested in Ohio on child pornography charges; faces 10 years in prison if convicted

39-year-old Vimalesh Prem Kumar, an Indian national working in the US on H-1B visa, has been arrested by federal agents on charges alleging that he accessed and downloaded child pornography. According to charging documents, cyber tips led agents to Kumar’s online accounts. Kumar allegedly viewed child pornography via Instagram, Twitter and Telegram and downloaded and shared the child sexual abuse material on Telegram.
