'Marmite' academic awarded more than £100,000 after she was fired for being ‘too loud’

A university lecturer has been awarded £100,000 after she was unfairly dismissed for being "too loud".

Dr Annette Plaut had worked at The University of Exeter for 29 years when she lost her job after being accused of having a "boisterous style", reports The Mirror.

She went on to take her employer to court claiming the university was "institutionally unconsciously biased" and it has now ruled in her favour that she was unfairly dismissed.
