Salernitana president Danilo Iervolino has rubbished links to Allan branding talk of his side making a move for the Everton midfielder as a 'lie'.
Reports from Italy claimed that the Serie A side were looking to bring the Brazil international to the Arechi Stadium this summer. Lazio and Napoli have also been linked with the midfielder, who has made 57 appearances in all competitions for the Blues.
Allan has been a regular fixture in the Everton midfield since making the transfer to Goodison Park from Napoli in the summer of 2020. However, with the 31-year-old entering the last year of his current deal with the Blues, speculation surrounding his future has emerged.

But addressing the rumours linking his club with a move for Allan, Iervolino was quick to brand them a 'lie' before going on to explain his club’s transfer philosophy.
He said: "The rumour that we would like Allan is a lie. I receive about 40 phone calls a day for the transfer market negotiations of Salernitana.
"We must make prudent and careful choices, taking players suitable for the gameplan of our coach (Davide) Nicola."
Speaking back in May, Allan said of his Everton future: "I think my destiny as a professional [football player] will remain unchanged. I’ll stay at Everton. As far as I know, I’m fine in England."
