West Lothian band Mark Sharp and the Bicycle Thieves have announced a funraising warm-up gig ahead of their slot supporting Lewis Capaldi on his tour.
Capaldi announced last week that the Bicycle Thieves will be his support act on the European leg of his world tour during February and March.
Frontman Mark Sharp said it was a “dream come true” to support long-time pal Lewis.
But he said they would need to fundraise for the gig to make the most of the opportunity.
The gig will be held at Bathgate Cinema tomorrow (Friday), from 7.30pm until 10pm.
The band said: “Mark Sharp & the Bicycle Thieves play a special-one off hometown show as a warmup (and to raise funds) for their European arena tour with Lewis Capaldi.
“This is your chance to wave us off beforewe embark on a lifechanging run of shows, performing to tens of thousands of fans across Europe.
Enjoy all the MS&TBT favourites plus some new material, plus exclusive merchandise on-sale across the night.”
Mark spoke to the Courier last week, saying he couldn’t thank Lewis enough and hoped the tour would give them their big break.
He said: “We’re so grateful to him, we can’t thank him enough. Even after everything he’s achieved he’s still the same guy who looks after his pals.
