KOLKATA: After some dilly-dallying, the Ranji Trophy is set to get rolling on Thursday. Last year's runners-up Bengal, placed in Elite Group B, have been clubbed with Baroda, Hyderabad and Chandigarh. They will play all their matches at Cuttack. Skipper Abhimanyu Easwaran spoke to TOI about the coming season.
On the uncertainty over Ranji Trophy: This is perhaps the best news for all first-class cricketers in the country. We prepare throughout the year and look forward to performing in this premier domestic tournament. Missing out on last season due to the Covid-19 situation was very depressing for us.
