Marcus Rashford in no mood of 'slowing down' ahead of Newcastle United final

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has warned that he doesn't feel like 'slowing down' ahead of a 'massive' game against Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup final.

Rashford scored twice as Man United condemned Leicester City to a 3-0 defeat at Old Trafford, and extended his season total to a career-high 24 goals across all competitions.

The England international has scored a formidable total of 17 goals in 18 games since the World Cup break. He has also scored the most goals (17) at Old Trafford in a single season since Wayne Rooney in 2011-12 (19).

Only Manchester City marksman Erling Haaland (26) and Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane (17) have scored more than Rashford (14) in the Premier League this term.

And Rashford insists that he is in no mood to rest on his laurels, with Man United facing Spanish heavyweights Barcelona, and Eddie Howe's Newcastle in the next week.

"I don't feel like slowing down and always want to improve," Rashford told Sky Sports. "Overall a good day. They created good opportunities and David made a great save at the end of the first half, without that we can't go on to win the game.

"It's still early in the season, we're fighting for a lot of different things and we have another big game in the week to hopefully go through to the next round of the Europa League and then a massive game for us [against Newcastle in the Carabao Cup final]."
