Few Instagram accounts are as entertaining as Marco Pierre White’s. He created a catalogue of brilliant and absurd videos in lockdown, including one featuring a large wooden goose and another in which he quietly eats a McDonald’s cheeseburger, the latest to be published and which has attracted keen interest after being posted on Sunday.

The shoot was inspired by Andy Warhol’s hamburger video from 1981, shot by the photographer Torkil Gudnason in New York. As the Danish film director Jørgen Leth put it: “This particular scene is the artistic essence of Andy Warhol, in all its simplicity.”
