If you missed it, Marc Jacobs beauty is back and it has a completely new look. Originally launched in 2013, the line had sleek black high-end packaging and was known for its pigmented eyeliners, slim compacts of bronzers, and eyeshadows for achieving that 2010s smokey look. It was discontinued in 2021, but five years later Marc Jacobs beauty has returned. This time around, the designer has injected a lot of fun into the range with playful maximalist packaging – the lipstick has a bubble heart on its lid, the blush is shaped like a daisy perfume-like flower, and the eyeshadow is a star that swivels open.
The products themselves inspire a hedonistic experience of make-up – a move away from the minimalist, barely there beauty trend. From metallic cream-to-powder eyeshadows, to neon pink lipsticks and yellow eyeliners (I might need convincing on the last one), the formulas are fun and joyful. Not for you? There’s also a powder bronzer compact, a blush stick and more muted shades available for each product.
