A manufacturing giant headquartered in Finland has put almost 50 jobs at its Runcorn base at risk in a bid to save around €1.6m a year.
Exel Composites has launched consultations with 48 employees at the site as it mulls plans to downsize its UK operations.
The business designs, manufactures and sells composite profiles and tubes for industrial applications.
