British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said Friday he was "furious" that he was not told former Labour minister Peter Mandelson had failed his security vetting before becoming the UK's ambassador to the United States, as opposition leaders called for his resignation.
It has since emerged that two of Starmer's top aides knew about the vetting failure weeks before the prime minister was informed.
