Manchester United XI vs Sevilla: Starting lineup, confirmed team news and injury latest

Marcus Rashford is on the bench for Manchester United’s in tonight’s Europa League quarter-final against Sevilla.

The England striker missed the 2-2 draw in the first leg at Old Trafford last week with a groin problem but trained with his team-mates on Wednesday. Luke Shaw is also in contention in Andalusia, alongside Tyrell Malacia and Marcel Sabitzer.

United had been hit by a sudden injury crisis before Rashford, Shaw, Malacia and Sabitzer all joined in Erik ten Hag’s workout on Wednesday, although Scott McTominay remains out.

First-choice centre-backs Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez are both sidelined, meaning Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof start at the back again, with Shaw is on the bench.

Christian Eriksen made his return to the starting XI against Nottingham Forest at the weekend after Sabitzer was injured in the warm-up and will continue in the lineup this evening.

Tom Heaton, Donny van de Beek and Phil Jones are out long-term. Alejandro Garnacho is also expected to miss the trip despite stepping up his return efforts over recent days.

Starting Manchester United XI to face Sevilla (4-2-3-1): De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Maguire, Lindelof, Dalot, Eriksen, Casemiro, Sabitzer, Antony, Martial, Sancho
