Former Manchester United striker Teddy Sheringham has warned Erik ten Hag about the signing of Frenkie de Jong this summer.
Ten Hag has made improving United's midfield his top priority this transfer window after the likes of Juan Mata, Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic all left the club. One player heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford is Barcelona midfielder De Jong.
The Dutchman has previously told reporters that he is happy at Camp Nou. However, Ten Hag, who managed the 25-year-old at Ajax, is still keen on securing his services.
