Manchester United are set to face National League side Wrexham in an additional pre-season friendly fixture this week. United, who returned from their pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia at the weekend, have two more official friendly fixtures before the new Premier League season starts against Brighton.
Erik ten Hag’s side face Atletico Madrid in Oslo on Saturday, before a second-string side takes on Rayo Vallecano at Old Trafford a day later.
The Manchester Evening News understands there will also be an additional behind-closed-doors match against their fifth-tier opponents in midweek.

Wrexham are set to face a United side at Carrington on Wednesday as part of their preparations for the new National League campaign, which also starts next week.
It was initially believed to be a match against a United youth side, but MEN Sport understands Ten Hag wants to utilise some senior players in the match, with those in need of minutes ahead of the new season likely to be involved.
Christian Eriksen is one of those players who could possibly feature, with the summer signing yet to play for his new club after he joined as a free agent earlier in the month.
The Denmark international did not meet up with his new side during their recent pre-season tour and was pictured in Manchester on Monday ahead of his first day of training with the club this week.
Wrexham, who are owned by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, were beaten play-off semi-finalists after they finished second in the National League last season.
The Welsh side are favourites to gain promotion back to the Football League next season, with their campaign starting a week on Saturday at home to Eastleigh.
