Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo will not pressure son to play football

Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed that he will not be pressuring his son to play football as he grows older.

The 11-year-old, named after his father, has spent time on the youth academy books at Juventus and is currently in the Manchester United set-up.

On Sunday, Ronaldo posted a picture of him and Cristiano Jr playing football with the caption which read: "Present and future."

Despite this, the 36-year-old revealed in his partner Georgina Rodriguez's Netflix series: 'I am Georgina', that he would not put pressure on him to pursue a sporting career.

"Only time will tell. I will never pressure him," Ronaldo explained.

"He will do what he wants. Also, what I want the most for Cristianito, and everyone else, is that they're happy choosing what they want.

"I will support you in any way."

Ronaldo's mother has previously claimed that Ronaldo Jr is a much better player than her son was when he was his age.
