Manchester United youngster Alejandro Garnacho has shared a cryptic post on his Instagram page, featuring four different images of himself alongside both Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
The youngster, who joined United from Atletico Madrid in October 2020, enjoyed a stellar 2021/22 campaign, producing an array of excellent performances. He played a formidable role in helping the club win their first FA Youth Cup crown in more than a decade, scoring seven goals and grabbing three assists in just six matches, including two strikes in the final against Nottingham Forest.
His exploits at youth level resulted in the 17-year-old earning his first-team debut, stepping off the bench in the closing stages of United's 1-1 draw with Chelsea at Old Trafford in April. He also enjoyed a cameo against Crystal Palace on the final day of the season.

Prior to making both senior appearances for United, however, Garnacho got the opportunity to rub shoulders with Messi while on international duty with Argentina. The youngster was awarded a shock call-up to the squad in March and although he didn't play it was an invaluable experience for him.
He has since been awarded his debut for the country's Under-20 side and recently scored four goals in the Toulon Tournament, helping Argentina finish fifth. But his call-up to the senior squad means that he is one of a select few that have been fortunate enough to train alongside both Messi and Ronaldo.
The duo are widely considered the two greatest players of all time, meaning the experience of training or playing alongside either of them will be viewed as a treat for any young player. Garnacho played alongside Ronaldo for the first time in the closing stages of the draw with Chelsea.
Garnacho has made no secret of his admiration of Ronaldo, replicating his iconic 'Siuuu' celebration in the Youth Cup final. He has also frequently described the United striker on social media as the 'GOAT'.
Therefore, although he has given no exact indication of what his latest Instagram post means, it suggests that Garnacho is honoured to have spent time learning and training alongside both Ronaldo and Messi. The youngster will have gained invaluable experience and will be hoping to gain more during the 2022/23 campaign, certainly from Ronaldo.
A number of United supporters hope that manager Erik ten Hag will welcome Garnacho into his first-team plans next season, with the youngster considered as one the most exciting players to have emerged from the academy in recent years.
Following the win over Forest last month, Under-18s boss Travis Binnion, addressing Garnacho's qualities, said: "That boy could be in any stadium in the world and he wouldn't care. That's his make-up, and a few of them are like that, that's why they are going to have good careers."
