Manchester United loanee Eric Bailly was sent off just 15 minutes into Marseille's French Cup match against Hyeres on Saturday afternoon.
Igor Tudor's side went into the game as heavy favourites and were able to secure a victory over their fourth-tier opponents - despite being a man down the majority of the clash. Bailly, who is on a season-long loan deal with the Ligue 1 side, was sent off for a shocking challenge on Moussa N'Diaye inside the opening 15 minutes.
N’Diaye attempted to launch a counter-attack, but was brutally stopped in his tracks by Bailly. The Ivorian defender attempted to pinch the ball from the Hyeres midfielder, yet N’Diaye got their first and Bailly ended up taking the 26-year-old down with a high boot to the chest.

United centre-back Bailly was immediately shown a red card by the referee, while N'Diaye was unable to continue. RMC reported that the Hyeres ace was taken away on a stretcher, before being loaded into an ambulance and taken to hospital.
Bailly has not featured for United since December 2021 - when he took part in a win over Burnley - with the defender being substituted off for Varane in the 66th minute at Old Trafford. He has made 113 appearances in total.
Since joining Marseille on loan, the 28-year-old has struggled with injury, but has used the World Cup break to return to full fitness. However, he has made just 12 appearances in all competitions for the Ligue 1 outfit.
