Manchester United 'informed of Edmond Tapsoba availability' and more transfer rumours

Manchester United are one of several Premier League sides to have been 'offered' Bayer Leverkusen defender Edmond Tapsoba, according to reports.

Reds boss Erik ten Hag is thought to be eyeing a new centre-back as he looks to add more quality and depth in that area. Club captain Harry Maguire could leave this summer amid fears over his England place, further emphasising the need for arrivals.

Tapsoba is currently in talks with Tottenham over a move to North London, but the 24-year-old's representatives are keen to drum up interest in their player. As such, 90min reports that United are one of three other top-flight sides to have been made aware of his availability, along with Liverpool and Newcastle.

The report adds that news of potential interest has concerned Tottenham, with Ange Postecoglou's side unable to offer European football.

Elsewhere, Football Insider reports that United are ready to pull out of the race to sign Kim Min-jae, with Bayern Munich looking certain to be the defender's next destination.

The Reds had been interested in Kim for several weeks, with reports going as far as to say the South Korean had all but promised the move would go ahead once his release clause was activated in July. However, Bundesliga champions Bayern look to have swooped in.

They have been in talks with the 26-year-old and look to be his preferred destination, due in part to their ability to offer a better chance at regular first-team football. Resources at United are now being focused elsewhere as Ten Hag continues his search for a new centre-back.
