Manchester United have reportedly made contact with Barcelona over the availability of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The former Arsenal striker looks likely to be heading out the exit door at the Camp Nou as the club looks to cut their wage bill.
According to 90min, United have made contact with Barca despite Aubameyang being in 'advanced talks' to sign for Chelsea. United are on the hunt to strengthen their attack due to a current lack of options. Cristiano Ronaldo's future is unknown but, should he leave, there would be a huge gap in 'number nines' after Anthony Martial.
Elsewhere, the Reds have reportedly been handed a boost should they wish to bring Aubameyang's teammate Memphis Depay back to Old Trafford. MEN Sport reported this week that the Reds are weighing up a bid for Depay to help strengthen the attack.

Depay, like Aubameyang, looks to be set to exit Barcelona this summer. Reports had linked him with a move to Real Sociedad to replace Alexander Isak who has just joined Newcastle United.
However, according to Sport, Depay has claimed that he has 'no interest' in moving to the fellow La Liga club. The report adds that this is because he has received a 'knock on the door' from United.
