An ‘index of infidelity’ has highlighted the UK’s most adulterous towns - and one particular spot in Greater Manchester has come out on top of the entire list.
Illicit Encounters - an online dating site for married men and women - says that 20,000 people use its services to cheat on their partner every week. New figures released by the site this week have identified that people in Altrincham are more likely to cheat on their partner than residents in any other town in Britain.
Using member's location data against each town’s adult population, the site has compiled a list of the most adulterous places in the country. Illicit Encounters says that 2,994 people in Altrincham alone are members - working out as 5.71% of the town's population, or around one in 18.
