Manchester's first Cavapoo café is opening in the city centre - and all pups get free 'Pupuccinos'

A brand new dog café is coming to Manchester - and it is the first of its kind.

The dog-friendly eatery event is launching in the city centre next month and it is designed specifically for Cavapoos.

Taking place at Revolution Parsonage Gardens, Manchester's first ever Cavapoo café will open on Sunday, March 6 for curly-haired pooches, their owners and dog lovers to enjoy.

Best of all, every Cavapoo will get a free 'Pupuccino' on arrival - and there are some tasty treats for humans too.

After the huge success of the Cockapoo café last Christmas, organisers wanted to bring the event back, this time for Cavapoos.

The mixed-breed dog has dramatically risen in popularity in the UK due to their hypoallergenic coat, good health and friendly nature - making them the perfect family dogs.

The 80-minute off-lead 'social experience' has been hailed as great for lockdown pups to introduce them to other dogs of the same breed.

For pups that may be a little nervous or are older than their fellow friends, there is also a designated 'chill zone'.

Pupuccinos worth £3.50 will be provided by the Pop + Bark mobile bar and Rudi's The Doggy Bakery will be serving delicious dog-friendly treats such as iced biscuits and cakes.

For dog owners there will be brunch, lunch, coffees and cocktails available whilst you watch your pooch play.

The 'Instagrammable' event will also have lots of fun props and photo opportunities as well as a mini market by The Crafty Dog Co selling all the latest dog accessories.

There is also the chance to join the Cavapoo Cafe members club after the event.

Organiser Anushka Fernando said: “We are so excited to be bringing our latest event Cavapoo Café to Manchester.

"Poodle mixes have exploded in popularity in the last few years and we can see why as they’re a great family dog - healthy, smart, energetic, good with kids.

"We held an event for their curly-haired cousins the Cockapoos last Christmas and it was hugely popular so we thought why not extend the happiness out to the next most popular poodle mix.

"A lot of recent dogs we’ve seen at events are ‘lockdown’ dogs so it’s a chance to socialisethem in a safe space where they can grow in confidence, off lead and relax. It’s so important to their self-esteem and a well socialised dog is a happy dog”.

You don’t need to own a Cavapoo to go along, so whether you have previously owned a dog, are a dog-lover or you one day wish to for a Cavapoo of your own, you can go along.

Session times are 2pm, 3:20pm and 4:40pm on Sunday, March 6.
