Manchester Pride 2022: Travel info - road closures, Metrolink, buses and traffic warnings

With Manchester Pride soon to be well underway, the bright and colourful parade will cause some traffic disruptions and road closures over the bank holiday weekend.

This year, Manchester Pride will start on Friday, August 26 and end on Monday, August 29. However, some of the road closures may be extended for an extra day so plan your journeys accordingly.

Furthermore, this year's big event will coincide with a football match at the Etihad as well as a cricket match at Emirates Old Trafford, so expect there to be a significant influx in traffic disruptions. On Saturday, when the parade is planned to take place, Manchester City will be playing against Crystal Palace which will severely impact travel times, according to Tfgm.
