The Manchester Food and Drink Festival will bring the best food and drink to the city this year to mark its 25th anniversary with an ‘extra special’ food fest bonanza.
Taking place in the city centre, the 25th Manchester Food and Drink Festival will run from September 15 to 26. The event will celebrate Manchester’s food and drink scene over the last quarter-century while exploring what the future could have in store.
The festival will showcase the ‘most innovative and exciting food talent’ in the region right now, with a series of pop-ups, masterclasses and events taking place at restaurants, bars and venues across the city-region.

The free-to-enter Festival Hub, situated on Cathedral Gardens, will feature a pop-up food and drink village with bars specialising in beer, wine and gin. There will also be street food vendors, artisan food market, banquets and live music.
Founder Phil Jones said: “We’re proud and excited to be presenting the 25th Anniversary Manchester Food and Drink Festival. I can honestly say when we started the Festival 25 years ago we could never have imagined what was to come for the city or the event itself.
“This year’s Festival will be about celebrating that progress and looking ahead too… From restaurants who took part in the very first MFDF to some of the hottest new talent, it’s going to be a superb Festival for everyone.”
The 2022 event will also have a key focus on sustainability, with panel talks on zero waste and budget cooking classes taking place, while the Festival Hub will be completely plastic-free.
Restaurant, bars, chefs, operators, makers, bakers and innovators are being invited to enquire about taking part in this year's milestone event. People can contact hello@foodanddrinkfestival.com for details.
